HALLOWEEN PARTY COCKTAIL

If you know me, then you know how much I love my rye. As a proud Canadian, I’m an avid supporter of our homegrown premium whisky. Growing up, my family always had bottles of the Canadian Club Original 1858 Premium Whisky — it was an essential bar item. My dad’s loved it neat, and as tradition has it, I do as well. So when I got my hands on the newest premium Canadian Rye Whisky from CC, I knew I had to try it. Suffice to say, it’s become an instant hit over the last few months when I host the boys over for game nights. That’s why I’m excited to partner with the good folks at Canadian Club over the next few months, putting my mixology skills to the test as a brand ambassador.

So here it goes…introducing the “Ghoul’s Rye Mule” — an original name and concoction made by yours truly…

Ghoul’s Rye Mule

After year’s of enjoying the traditional Rye Mule, I thought I’d put my own twist to it ahead of our Halloween party by adding a festive touch of maple syrup. Yessir — the concoction tastes unreal! And you can make your own as follows:

  1. 2 ounces Canadian Club 100% Rye,
  2. 4 ounces ginger beer,
  3. 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice,
  4. A splash of maple syrup
  5. 2-3 cubes of ice
  6. Garnish with a slice or two of lime

It’s sure to be a hit with all Rye & Ginger lovers at your Halloween party!

About: Canadian Club Chairman’s Select 100% Rye

Made 100 percent from single grain rye in high quality bourbon barrels, it’s a smooth and premium whisky. It’s got a robust spiciness of rye that works very well with classic cocktails such as the Manhattan and Old Fashioned, and when paired with citrus fruits such as lemon, lime, ginger and warm spice flavours such as cinnamon. However, for the Rye Whisky lover, it’s best appreciated neat or on the rocks.
